Job summary

Accelera seeks a Facilities Engineering Lead to oversee the operational integrity and reliability of large-scale industrial warehouses in Gloucester, MA. You will drive performance by managing maintenance programs, optimizing uptime, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Lead technical teams, develop preventive maintenance strategies, manage budgets and capital projects, and mentor staff to build a highly skilled, safety‑conscious maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in industrial maintenance with 3+ years in supervision.
• Proven ammonia refrigeration expertise in food/beverage environments.
• Strong repair, troubleshooting, and facility management skills.
• Experience managing safety policies and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily maintenance operations and lead technical teams to high-performance facility objectives.
• Manage departmental budgets, analyze financial variances, and execute capital improvement projects from planning to vendor oversight.
• Develop and refine preventive maintenance strategies to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of material handling and utility systems.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, PSM, and municipal mechanical/electrical codes to maintain a secure working environment.
• Implement comprehensive energy management plans to improve utility utilization and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze maintenance performance metrics to identify trends and initiate actionable improvement plans for equipment reliability.
• Mentor staff through individual development planning to build a highly skilled and technically proficient maintenance team.
