Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is seeking a Chief Building Engineer in Waltham, MA to lead engineering and facilities operations for a multi-building portfolio. You will oversee maintenance, capital projects, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The role partners with property management, finance, EHS, and legal teams; you will contribute to budget planning, tenant service, risk management, and sustainability initiatives, while aligning

Qualificações

• 10+ years in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical or similar trades.
• 4+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, BAS, fire/life safety in Class A offices.
• Experience with BMS and energy-saving software such as WellStat or similar.
• Experience with operations, maintenance, vendor coordination, regulatory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of MEP systems across a Class A portfolio.
• Lead and develop engineering staff; address performance and vendor issues.
• Manage building management systems and preventative maintenance programs.
• Engage vendors/contractors for life safety, site, capital projects, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with property management, FM engineering, HR, legal, and finance.
• Assist annual budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting.
• Review invoices and vendor contracts per accounts payable procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness and life-safety training.
• Participate in capital projects and transition to operations.
