Job summary

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC in Massachusetts seeks a Facilities Engineer to support daily operations for Class A office and light industrial properties. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with repairs, and coordinate with tenants and vendors to ensure reliable operations.

Under the Facilities Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer, you will read blueprints, operate building management systems, and respond to after-hours emergencies as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of general commercial facilities and maintenance experience.
• Practical knowledge of Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Life Safety Systems.
• Ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting on MEP equipment.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry and plumbing.
• OSHA training is helpful but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use power tools.
• Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (ALC, Delta, PRISM).

Responsibilities

• Supports the facilities team in daily operations for Class A office and light industrial assets.
• Assists with general maintenance and tenant work orders, and coordinates with vendors.
• Maintains workshop organization, tools, and equipment inventory.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation.
• Works with Lead Engineer and Facilities Engineering Manager to learn and perform a range of maintenance tasks.
