nycedc is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of building systems across a multi-building campus in Sunset Park. This role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, system reliability, and vendor coordination to support capital projects.

You will work closely with internal teams and contractors to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant facilities, including on-call rotations and potential weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of facilities engineering, building operations, or infrastructure management.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building systems.
• Familiarity with BAS, CMMS, and system integration.
• Solid troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, or consultants to support maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and BAS.
• Diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Support the implementation and use of CMMS and BAS platforms for tracking and optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure safe, effective work.
• Support capital improvement projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure repairs.
• Assist with inspections, safety compliance, and reporting.
