Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr Facilities Manager to lead operations for a premier Hartford campus. You will oversee a 1.5-million-square-foot site, manage a team of about 20 facilities professionals, and drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across all building systems.

You will balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations, partner with stakeholders, and manage a multimillion-dollar budget while advancing a strong employee experience and safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years hands-on experience with commercial building systems (HVAC, plumbing).
• 5+ years leadership managing facilities teams of 10–20 employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of facilities management, operations, maintenance, and asset performance across a 1.5M sq ft campus.
• Direct, develop, and mentor a team of ~20 facilities professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage multiple priorities including capital projects, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency response.
• Serve as the primary client partner with regular updates and strategic recommendations.
• Oversee budgets exceeding $10M including forecasting, variance, reporting, and optimization.
• Lead vendor procurement, bid specs, negotiate contracts, and manage provider performance.
• Ensure reliability of MEP, BAS, and fire alarm systems.
• Partner with district utilities for steam and chilled water distribution.
• Utilize CMMS (SI7) for maintenance planning and asset management.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, experience, risk mitigation, and asset performance.
