Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead design, project management, and operations for Transfer Stations and MRFs in the Southwest Region. The role emphasizes client contact, proposal development, and technical quality across projects in CA, NV, AZ, NM, and UT.

The ideal candidate has a PE (preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to grow the Southwest practice. Remote or regional office options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant design experience with transfer stations and MRFs.
• West Coast business development experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project direction with client contact focus.
• Oversee proposals, budgets and project plans; ensure quality assurance for Southwest Region.
• Guide staff on equipment design, permitting, commissioning and operations of MRFs and transfer stations.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure safety program adherence.
• Support business development through client relationships and opportunity pursuit.
