Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 3) on-site in El Segundo, CA. You will oversee and deliver multiple facilities projects, coordinating leadership, program teams, customers, and maintenance to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets.

As a senior PM, you will plan, design, and implement facility reconfigurations and construction, while reviewing costs and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 8 years in PM/facilities; OR Bachelor's plus 5 years; OR Master's plus 3 years.
• Solid knowledge of construction disciplines, building systems, equipment installation, and codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex approaches clearly.
• Experience collaborating with vendors to diagnose issues with mechanical systems.
• Ability to prepare Scopes of Work and procurement documents.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft 365 apps and AutoCAD.
• Must be able to obtain US Government Secret Clearance and program access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilities contact for customers and maintenance.
• Manage ongoing projects and bridge between PM, planning, and line management.
• Gather and finalize requirements including facility specifications and constraints.
• Plan, design, and oversee reconfiguration and alteration of facilities.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms to develop design criteria.
• Prepare Scopes of Work and procurement documents for design/construction.
• Review and estimate total project costs including design, equipment, and labor.
• Inspect construction work to ensure conformity with drawings and safety standards.
• Forecast and report project status, risk, cost, and schedule metrics.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans.
• Coordinate special permits and inspections with customers and regulators.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high quality.
