Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product & Benefits Senior Analyst (Remote - US) to design, configure, and optimize healthcare product configurations within the Facets platform. You will work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, scalable benefit solutions supporting claims adjudication.

The role emphasizes requirements gathering, design reviews, testing, and post-production stabilization, with a strong focus on benefit design and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience, incl. at least 4 years in Facets Product & Benefits configuration/implementation.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare benefit design (copays, coinsurance, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, accumulators, tiers, exclusions, limits, network variations).
• Experience designing and configuring healthcare products and benefits within the Facets platform.
• Understanding of how benefit configuration affects claims adjudication, pricing, provider networks, eligibility, and membership processing.
• Experience supporting requirements analysis, solution design, configuration validation, testing, and defect resolution.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or other payer lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business, operational, and regulatory requirements and translate into Facets configuration solutions.
• Design and configure healthcare products, benefit plans, accumulators, tiers, cost-sharing structures, exclusions, and network-based rules.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, design sessions, and reviews, identifying gaps, dependencies, risks and implementation considerations.
• Validate benefit configurations through unit, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing to ensure accurate claims outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess impacts across membership, provider networks, pricing, claims processing, and eligibility.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Support implementation, release readiness, production validation, benefit renewals, launches, and post-production stabilization.
