Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Factory Systems Setup for the 300mm Fab 8 in Malta, NY. The role focuses on leading a configuration team to optimize factory data systems, workflows, and process flows across the global fab network.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience with factory data setup, MES, and related tools. On-site role with strong collaboration across Operations, Process Integration, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, manufacturing, or related field or equivalent training/experience.
• 2 years of factory data setup using multiple configuration and execution systems.
• Experience with semiconductor factory systems apps (front-end wafer MES, Recipe Management, SPC, BPM).
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration team to drive setup requirements and implementations that optimize quality, performance and delivery metrics at Fab 8.
• Contribute to establishing a strong modeling and setup team.
• Build common nomenclature, standardization, documentation, and change management across Fab 8 and other GlobalFoundries fabs.
• Engage with Operations, Factory Information Control Systems, Process Integration, and Supply Chain to build partnerships.
• Support SLAs with Operations and Process Integration and other Manufacturing Services groups.
