Job summary

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its Malta FAB8 site. The role involves monitoring, sustaining and improving equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.

Strong communication and adherence to EHS&S policies are essential. Ideal candidates have a High School Degree (or equivalent) and 2 years of technical experience, with electrical or mechanical expertise and basic PC skills.

Qualifications

• High School Degree (or equivalent) required.
• 2-year technical degree or relevant military/ vocational training preferred.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proficient with basic computer tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in the assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical, mechanical, and PC/software skills.
• Communicate equipment status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with EHS&S policies.
• Support training activities and ensure manufacturing readiness of equipment.
