Job summary

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to manage and optimize F5 appliance deployments across a global enterprise, including on-prem and cloud resources. The role involves upgrades, performance tuning, and patch implementation, with after-hours support for a 24/7 operations center.

This position supports multiple sites including Alexandria, VA; Tampa, FL; MD (undisclosed); Omaha, NE; and Millington, TN.

Qualifications

• Experience administering F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of monitoring and management of F5 appliances and PKI certificates.
• Experience creating and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
• Familiar with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication features on F5 are operational.
• Back up load balancing configs and PKI certificates per policies.
• Notify customers before PKI certificate expiration and assist renewals.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP ranges.
• Develop technical solutions with engineers and architects.
• Provide after-hours support to 24/7 IT operations center.
