Job summary

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD. This role covers implementation, operations, and maintenance of F5 load balancer technologies across on-prem and cloud environments, with a focus on performance tuning and applying critical patches.

The position supports multiple sites including Alexandria, VA; Tampa, FL; MD; Omaha, NE; and Millington, TN, and requires collaboration with internal and external customers to meet mission

Qualifications

• Experienced administering F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools to monitor and manage F5 appliances.
• Technical knowledge backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Experience working independently in support of customer requirements.
• Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions.
• Familiar with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication features on F5 are operational at all times.
• Back up load balancing configurations and PKI certificates per customer policies.
• Notify customers before PKI certificate expiration and assist with renewals.
• Create and manage load balanced IP address spaces.
• Develop and implement technical solutions with engineers and architects.
• Provide after-hours support to 24/7/365 IT operations for outages.
• Update technical solutions and procedures for 24/7 operations.
