Job summary

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD. This role is responsible for implementation, operations, and maintenance of load balancer technologies in a global enterprise across multiple networks.

Duties include upgrading to new technologies, tuning performance, and implementation of critical system patches. This position is now available in multiple locations and offers the opportunity to work in any of our key sites in Alexandria,

Qualifications

• Experience administering F5 load balancers in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS offloading and PKI certificate management.
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load-balanced IP spaces.
• Independent work style and ability to support customer requirements.
• Familiar with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and PKI features on F5 are operational.
• Back up load balancing configs and certificates per policy.
• Notify customers prior to certificate expirations and assist renewals.
• Create and manage load balanced IP address spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support to 24/7 IT Operations Center.
• Document solutions and procedures for triage.
