Job summary

Soboba Casino Resort in California is seeking an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to oversee all outlets, partner with the Director, and ensure menus, costs, and staffing are aligned with strategic goals.

You will hire and develop management staff, control food and beverage costs, monitor labor, and drive profitability while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires leadership across multiple outlets, strong vendor relations, and experience in gaming environments.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field, preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage Senior Management role, required.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations; gaming environment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director in managing day-to-day department operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
• Analyze F&B operations data to prepare and maintain budgeted targets for operation.
• Oversee proper scheduling of personnel including master schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships.
• Assist in product selection, price negotiations and menu development.
• Monitor sales results and recommend product changes/enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Soboba regulations.
