Job summary

Genpak seeks an Extrusion Operator in Montgomery, AL to operate extrusion lines, report quality issues and keep required documentation, with final approval by the Extrusion Manager/Assistant Production Manager. Commitment to SQF, GMP and Food Safety is essential.

You will run all department machines, assist with overtime, relieve operator breaks, and input 2-hour production totals in Excel. Maintain safety and orderly changeovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year manufacturing experience.
• Equivalent training, education, and experience accepted.
• Good math, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run all machines in the department.
• Assist in scheduling department overtime.
• Assist in relieving breaks for operators.
• Input 2‑hour production totals in Excel.
• Oversee grinding room cleanliness and rolls ground.
• Assist with cutter report.
• Ensure pelletizers are running at all times.
• Monitor silo pads and vacuum pad cleanliness.
• Ensure hoses are connected to silos during changeovers.
• Monitor all operators check lists.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
• Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.
