Job summary

Aptar is seeking an Extrusion Operator based in Auburn, AL. The role involves operating and troubleshooting extrusion equipment, performing changeovers and start-ups, and ensuring products are correctly packaged and labeled.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to cGMP, and hands-on involvement in daily manufacturing tasks. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, some experience in extrusion/manufacturing, and basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior extrusion/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and troubleshoots extrusion and auxiliary equipment.
• Performs material changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups as directed.
• Performs and documents in-process sampling.
• Completes all required documentation per cGMP requirements.
• Makes process setting adjustments to ensure quality and productivity.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs on process and building equipment.
• Verifies extruded products are packaged and labeled correctly.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Identifies areas where production documentation can be improved.
