Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of two years experience in Liners.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and write legibly in English to complete required forms and verify quality products.
• Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing.
• Adhere to Amcor’s Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days, or nights for 12 or more hours.
• Able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height.
• Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per day or night.
• Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
• Operate forklift and maintain a forklift operator license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines that extrude or draw thermoplastic materials.
• Set-up and operate machine according to procedures and customer requirements.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Safely operate Extruder(s) and perform screen changes as needed.
• Monitor machinery for jams and potential failures.
• Troubleshoot all process equipment.
• Perform start-up, set-up, and shutdown procedures.
• Make a wide variety of machine adjustments and line changes with precision.
• Complete production safety and quality paperwork regularly.
• Maintain quality through inspection and notify supervisor of issues.
• Communicate equipment issues to Maintenance.
• Keep work area clean and organized before leaving shift.
• Ensure packaging and materials are present daily.
• Know plant emergency procedures and all E-stops.
