Job summary

Judit Inc. is seeking an experienced Export Compliance professional to manage our expanding regulatory obligations in the defense line of business.

You will oversee import/export activities and develop robust compliance programs to ensure adherence to ITAR, EAR and related Customs regulations. The role requires a proven track record in aerospace/defense export/import compliance, with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels across multiple sites in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; emphasis on international trade management/international business, MBA or law a plus.
• 10+ years in import/export trade compliance, preferably with a major company or customs brokerage
• ITAR compliance experience with increasingly complex responsibilities; knowledge of Import/Export Regulations
• U.S. Customs Broker License is a plus
• Knowledge of U.S. import/export control regulations including HTS classifications; gov contracting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Empowered Official.
• Provide proactive export/import compliance guidance to program management, contracts, procurement, shipping, security and other functions.
• Develop operational solutions by solving work problems.
• Prepare and track license applications and regulatory agreements.
• Manage internal and external import/export reviews, audits and compliance metrics.
• Determine ITAR exemptions, ECCNs and use of Commerce exceptions.
• Support and ensure compliance for duty-preference programs.
• Work with in-house and outside counsel to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits and investigations; review compliance documentation and reports.
• Coordinate communication with Customs brokers and bond underwriters.
