Job summary

Textron Systems, part of Textron, seeks an experienced Sr Manager Export/Import Compliance to lead regulatory compliance for its defense programs. You will oversee ITAR/EAR, ECCN determinations, and licensing across multiple sites, coordinating with legal, contracts, and compliance teams.

The role requires extensive regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex import/export operations in a fast-paced environment. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (international trade management, international business, MBA or law a plus).
• 10+ years of experience managing Import and Export trade compliance, preferably with a major company or customs brokerage.
• ITAR and EAR knowledge with regulatory compliance in aerospace/defense.
• US Customs Broker license is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTS classifications and OFAC/antiboycott requirements.
• Ability to obtain Department of Defense security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Empowered Official.
• Provide proactive export/import compliance guidance to program management, contracts, procurement, and other functions within the Company.
• Prepare, submit and track licenses and agreements (ITAR, ECCN, licenses).
• Manage internal/external import/export reviews, audits, and compliance metrics/dashboards.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan and conduct employee training on export control regulations.
• Review and approve shipping requests and import/export documents.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports.
