Job summary

Textron Systems seeks a Sr Manager, Import/Export Compliance to lead regulatory obligations across our defense business. You will oversee customs compliance, coordinate import/export activities, and develop programs to ensure adherence to ITAR, EAR, and related regulations.

The role requires extensive aerospace/defense experience, collaboration with Legal, Contracts and Compliance teams, and the ability to manage audits, training, and policy creation globally.

Qualifications

• Experience managing import/export trade compliance in aerospace/defense.
• ITAR and EAR regulatory knowledge required.
• Experience with government contracting and international trade compliance.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide export/import compliance guidance to programs and functions.
• Prepare and track licenses and trade agreements.
• Manage compliance metrics and dashboards.
• Determine ITAR exemptions and ECCNs for transactions.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel; support audits.
• Maintain and implement compliance policies and training.
• Collaborate with customs brokers; ensure record-keeping and reporting.
