Job summary

ProTrans is seeking an Expedite Specialist to coordinate and execute expedited transportation services. You will manage shipments end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate data, while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role acts as the primary liaison among customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, communicating updates, resolving delays, and maintaining TMS data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Understanding of expedited transportation: charter, hand-carry, ground expedite.
• Knowledge of brokerage and customs-related services.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation software.

Responsibilities

• Track, monitor, and manage expedited shipments from pickup through final delivery.
• Proactively communicate shipment updates and status reports to customers.
• Resolve shipment issues, delays, and service concerns through effective problem-solving and customer service.
• Maintain accurate shipment information within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Support charter, hand-carry, and ground expedite transportation operations.
• Bid, schedule, and dispatch shipments while ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Assist with shipment bookings, documentation, tracing, and delivery coordination.
• Maintain knowledge of brokerage and customs services to support shipments.
• Monitor and report KPIs and operational metrics as assigned.
• Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders for seamless service.
• Follow company policies and communication standards including email and Teams.
