Job summary

Mercury is hiring a Senior Recruiter to lead full-cycle Director and VP searches, focusing on Engineering, Product, Design, and Data leadership. You’ll partner with founders and execs, translating business needs into market maps and target lists.

You will advise senior hiring managers, build relationships with top leaders before roles exist, and run hiring sprints across Mercury while delivering a standout candidate experience from first contact to offer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting across functions at a growing company.
• Experience running Director+ searches and prioritizing them in workload.
• Track record as a trusted advisor to senior hiring managers (e.g., CTOs, VPs).
• Relationships with senior leaders built before needing them.
• Clear, precise writing and communication skills.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, Gem, Metaview, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Run full-cycle Director and VP searches with focus on Engineering, Product, Design, and Data leadership.
• Break roles down with hiring managers and translate into market maps and target lists.
• Discuss scope, team needs, and tradeoffs with senior candidates, representing Mercury’s leadership.
• Use market data to advise hiring managers and push back on unrealistic specs.
• Host executive talent events and build a leadership network for future roles.
• Lead hiring sprints and high-priority searches across Mercury.
• Provide senior candidates with a memorable experience from first contact to offer.
