Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate, Compensation to join the Executive Compensation team in Virginia. The role designs and benchmarks senior executive compensation programs with close partnership to Corporate Compensation, Equity, Legal, Incentive Risk Management, and HR Business Partners.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in compensation or related fields and strong Excel/GSheets skills. You will lead benchmarking, focal cycles, and ad-hoc analyses while delivering data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Compensation or at least 3 years of experience in Finance or at least 3 years of experience in Analytics, or a combination.
• At least 2 years of experience in Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep analysis on designing and implementing competitive executive compensation programs through benchmarking, market research, etc.
• Lead annual processes such as benchmarking, compensation focal cycles, etc.
• Consult on compensation matters with Human Resources Business Partners
• Research and formulate recommendations on external and internal employment offers, job leveling, and compensation programs through the use of surveys and internal compensation tools
• Lead ad-hoc and recurring analytical projects such as compression studies, pay cliff analyses, etc.
• Create internal and client-facing tools to further enhance the simplicity and transparency of our programs
• Partner with cross functional teams to deliver against business intent
