Job summary

Cincinnati Insurance Company is seeking an experienced excess and surplus lines underwriter to join our team in the Midwest region. The role involves working closely with producers and an underwriting assistant to underwrite and price surplus lines commercial property and casualty business, with authority to determine price, terms and conditions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent E&S

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or extensive E&S underwriting experience.
• 5+ years of commercial lines P&C underwriting experience.
• ASLI or CPCU designations preferred.
• Carrier background candidates will be given preference; training in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, underwrite, and price new and renewal surplus lines business.
• Determine risk acceptability, pricing, terms and conditions.
• Develop, analyze and evaluate information for complex risks.
• Achieve production and loss ratio goals within regional territory.
• Travel within assigned territory.
