Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced equipment operator to manage power construction machinery in field sites across the United States. You will load, transport, and grade materials while maintaining safety standards and communicating with supervisors.

Responsibilities include operating various vehicles, performing routine maintenance, training coworkers, and inspecting equipment to prevent failures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment; perform maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Excavate trenches and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques and skills.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
