Job summary

South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an Events and Special Projects Manager to lead planning and coordination of agency events, from local to national scales. The role oversees budgets, schedules, approvals and vendor payments while coordinating venues, guest lists and logistics.

Under supervision, you will develop events that support the One SCDOT initiative and collaborate with external organizations, with occasional after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage local, state, regional and national events.
• Coordinate budgets, schedules, approvals and vendor payments.
• Arrange venues, guest lists, logistics and communications for events.
• Develop events supporting agency goals and collaborate with partners.
• Coordinate with Emergency Management for meals and lodging during incidents.
