Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham's Hill Student Center is seeking a Scheduling and Events Coordinator to manage all meeting and event scheduling, including outdoor spaces, and to guide clients on catering, equipment rentals, and marketing resources.

The role may supervise student staff, assist with department initiatives, and help meet revenue goals for facility and equipment rentals, with on-site day shifts and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field with one year of related experience.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all meeting and event scheduling for the Hill Student Center.
• Coordinate event logistics, including equipment, staffing, and compliance with Hill Student Center and University guidelines and procedures.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate all employees reporting to the Scheduling Events Coordinator, including student and paraprofessional staff.
• Assist in the creation, review, and implementation of department initiatives, policies and procedures, and facility use guidelines.
• Assist in developing and meeting revenue goals for facility and equipment rentals.
• Prepare, analyze and report participation statistics, and assist with program evaluations and assessments in areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
