Job summary

Unity is seeking a seasoned senior event professional for a 4-6 month engagement in San Francisco to drive planning and execution for regional user events and major conferences.

You will own heavy-lift logistics, vendor relationships, timelines and onsite execution with zero ramp-up time, working closely with our leadership to ensure brand-standard delivery under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in high-impact B2B events.
  • Experience with large-scale global conferences or roadshows.
  • Ability to manage complex logistics from Day 1 without extensive training.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute heavy-lift logistics for regional user events and major conferences.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts and negotiations across AV/production, F&B, rentals and experiential builds.
  • Develop and maintain load-in/load-out schedules, run-of-show documents, and onsite staffing plans.
  • Lead onsite teams and troubleshoot live issues to ensure brand-standard delivery under tight timelines.

Job description

  • We are looking for a seasoned, high-impact senior event professional to join our team for a 4-6 month engagement. This isn’t a role for someone looking to learn the ropes; we need a “plug-and-play” professional who can immediately step in to drive planning and execution for our regional user events alongside other 3rd party events
  • You will work in lockstep with our senior team to manage heavy-lift logistics, vendor relationships, and tight timelines. If you are an expert at navigating complex event ecosystems with zero ramp-up time, we want to talk
  • Rapid Execution: Step into mid-stream planning for GDC, Unite and other 1st party events, taking immediate ownership of established timelines and project milestones, or creating them yourself
  • Vendor & Sourcing Command: Manage and negotiate with vendors across AV/production, F&B, rentals, and experiential builds. You will be expected to review existing contracts and close gaps in sourcing quickly
  • Operational Rigor: Build and maintain detailed load-in/load-out schedules, run-of-show documents, and onsite staffing plans
  • Onsite Leadership: Potentially onsite execution by managing crews, troubleshooting live issues, and overseeing logistics to ensure brand-standard delivery

Immediate Domain Expertise: 7+ years of proven experience in high-impact B2B events (specifically large-scale global user conferences or roadshows)Logistical Mastery: Expert-level skill in developing ROS, floorplans, and technical production schedulesTool Proficiency: Immediate fluency in Google Workspace and Splash (or similar registration platforms)Contractor Mindset: Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable jumping into a fast-moving environment mid-projectZero Ramp-Up Ability: Deep familiarity with the event lifecycle, allowing you to manage complex logistics from Day 1 without extensive trainingAdvanced Vendor Management: A track record of sourcing and managing large-scale production and hospitality partners under tight deadlines
