DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City is seeking a passionate Senior Events Manager to join the team! This property features 627 rooms and 33,316 sq. ft of total event space, located half a mile south of The Pentagon and three blocks from the Pentagon City Metro station.

Ideal candidates have experience handling high-volume events, a flexible schedule, and have managed events with at least 600 attendees, typically managing 5-11 events per month.

What will I be doing?

As Senior Events Manager, you will negotiate business through proposals and contracts, design menus and events to maximize revenue, and maintain relationships with corporate and social clients. You will coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and clients to ensure high-quality service throughout all phases of events. Your role primarily involves managing complex events, ensuring seamless transitions from sales to service, and upselling opportunities to enhance revenue. You will serve as the primary contact for event planners post-turnover and may support the Director of Catering and Events.

Your essential functions include:

  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties with clear goals
  • Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams via phone, email, or in person
  • Building and maintaining client relationships to meet expectations
  • Demonstrating knowledge of systems, products, and processes
  • Resolving conflicts and negotiating with clients and vendors
  • Upselling and influencing to maximize revenue
  • Making decisions based on analysis and evaluation of issues
  • Providing high-quality service, guidance, and coaching to team members
  • Participating in customer site inspections and supporting sales efforts
  • Performing other duties as needed and maintaining regular attendance
