Job summary

Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa in Colorado is seeking a Senior Manager of Meetings and Special Events to curate and execute high-impact programs, elevate guest experiences, and drive revenue. You will lead complex weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings while overseeing Ranch-wide programming to boost occupancy and engagement.

This role requires a minimum of 4 years in hospitality event planning/management, strong leadership, and CMP or pursuit thereof.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; CMP certification preferred.
Minimum 4 years of hospitality event planning/management experience.
Proven experience managing, training, and developing staff.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Resort Suite or similar event management software.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Manage weddings, corporate functions, and social events from sales to execution.
Serve as main client and planner contact for events.
Develop event documentation: group resumes, BEOs, room diagrams.
Coordinate invoicing with accounting and ensure timely payments.
Lead ranch-wide programming and holiday/branded events.
Coordinate vendor relations and on-site event execution.
Train, mentor, and manage Event Services staff.
