Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Washington, DC seeks a Sr. Event Services Manager to coordinate corporate catering events and groups.

You will act as the liaison between clients and hotel staff, ensuring top‑notch planning, accurate documentation, and professional execution from start to finish. You will create BEOs, manage room blocks, coordinate timelines, and work with culinary, AV, and operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event planning or hospitality.
• CMP certification is a plus and preferred for senior roles.
• Proficiency with hospitality software and event management tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of communication between clients and hotel teams to guarantee smooth event coordination.
• Oversee events including corporate and government meetings and galas with attention to detail.
• Create, update, and distribute BEOs and Group Resumes with accuracy across departments.
• Manage room blocks, timelines, and billing instructions for client events.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, culinary, AV, and accounting to ensure flawless delivery.
