Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Team Leader to drive the program team, own the plan, and manage delivery for large client programs in the United States. You will oversee budgets, timelines, registrations, and onsite execution for flagship conferences, coordinating with suppliers, venues, and client stakeholders.

You will serve as the client’s primary delivery contact, produce status reports, forecast needs, and ensure data integrity across registrations and communications.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years delivering large corporate meetings and events.
• Experience on a dedicated account team under a client SoW, ideally as its lead.
• Ownership of multimillion-dollar program budgets with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Delivery of large conferences with thousands of attendees in a multiprogram annual calendar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dedicated account program team with responsibility for assignments, performance and coverage across the program calendar.
• Own delivery for every assigned program from planning to onsite execution and close.
• Serve as the client's primary delivery contact with planning cadences and status reporting.
• Own program budgets from initial estimate through final reconciliation and reporting.
• Maintain master timeline and milestones in Smartsheet and ensure dates are met.
• Oversee registration, housing, and attendee communications in the client’s Cvent instance.
• Lead supplier and venue management across hotels, destinations and partners.
• Lead onsite delivery for major programs, including staffing and run of show ownership.
• Document planning files, decision logs, and post-program debriefs for renewal value.
• Collaborate with Head of Event Operations on planning, staffing forecasts and scope changes.
