Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks a Team Leader to run the program team and own the plan and budget for each assigned program. You will be the client’s daily contact for delivery, ensuring successful onsite execution and strategic oversight across complex meetings and events.

You will manage multi-program calendars, master timelines, and data integrity in Smartsheet and Cvent, while guiding a team of managers and coordinators through planning, staffing, and post-event debriefs.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years delivering large corporate meetings and events.
• Experience leading a team of meeting professionals through full program cycles.
• Ownership of multimillion-dollar program budgets with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Delivery of large conferences with thousands of attendees within a multi-program calendar.
• Advanced Cvent proficiency and experience administering programs inside a client-owned instance.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet for master timeline and status tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dedicated account program team across scheduling, staffing, and on-site execution.
• Own delivery from kickoff through close, including flagship conferences.
• Serve as the client’s primary delivery contact with cadence planning, reporting, and decisions.
• Own program budgets from estimates to reconciliation, including forecasts and supplier commitments.
• Maintain master timelines in Smartsheet and ensure dates are met by all stakeholders.
• Oversee registration, housing, and attendee communications within the client Cvent instance.
• Lead onsite delivery for major programs with staffing, run of show, and issue handling.
• Develop planning files, logs, and post-program debriefs for renewal demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Head of Event Operations on scope, staffing, and risk mitigation.
