Job summary

LBA Hospitality is seeking an Event Manager to oversee venue and meeting room setups, welcome clients, and coordinate with the banquet captain to ensure seamless events.

The role requires catering/event management experience, strong communication, and upselling abilities. It is an on-site position at our San Antonio hotels, with responsibilities including coordination with sales, operations, and food & beverage teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform major life activities and stand for long periods; readiness for lifting up to 60 pounds and carrying 30 pounds.
• One year catering or event management experience and/or hotel operations experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English; other languages helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales teams on inside sales for properties with event space.
• Send catering collateral, record activities in sales system, and follow up with clients.
• Answer inquiries via phone, web, and leads for event space.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance of event space.
• Conduct weekly Banquet Event Order meetings for review with staff.
• Create and maintain a vendor list for services related to venues and meeting spaces.
