Job summary

Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co. is seeking an Event Manager to coordinate and oversee meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and conventions within our hotels.

You will act as the primary liaison between the client (planning teams) and internal hotel departments to ensure flawless execution. Responsibilities include client liaison from sale to post-event follow-up, catering and banquet management, and room-block oversight.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in hotel event planning or catering sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event planning, or related field preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Familiar with CI/TY or Delphi, Social Tables or Delphi Diagrams.
• Knowledge of Marriott FSPMS or MARSHA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Client Liaison: serve as main contact from sale through post-event follow-up.
• Catering & Banquet Management: coordinate food and beverage and banquet orders.
• Room Block Management: monitor convention group room requirements and reservations.
• Cross-Departmental Communication: distribute event docs to Banquets, Culinary, Audiovisual, Housekeeping, Front Office, etc.
• On-Site Execution: be visible on-site to resolve issues and lead post-convention meetings.
• Revenue Generation: upsell enhanced tech, catering packages, or extra function space.
