Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance seeks a Senior Field Service Specialist - EV to perform complex electrical apparatus work onsite at customer facilities, including testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, leading safety meetings, and coordinating field projects with travel and overtime as needed. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical /Electronic Technology preferred.
• NETA level III or IV within 6 months of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and write diagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
• Lead transformer testing (Power factor, TTR, insulation resistance, SFRA, winding resistance, partial discharge, leakage reactance).
• Perform cable testing (insulation resistance, tan delta, hipot, TDR, partial discharge).
• Conduct circuit breaker testing (insulation resistance, contact resistance, power factor, breaker timing, SF6 analysis, CT testing, vacuum bottle testing).
• Test both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Develop and lead safety meetings and training.
