Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance in the United States seeks a Senior Field Service Specialist to perform complex electrical apparatus work onsite at customer facilities, including testing, commissioning, upgrades and repairs. You will troubleshoot, document findings, and establish LOTO while coordinating with customers.

The role involves traveling to sites, performing preventive maintenance, and participating in safety meetings and training to ensure reliable power systems are kept safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with preferred electrical/electronic tech background.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly and commissioning.
• Ability to achieve NETA level III or IV within 6 months of employment.
• Willingness to relocate within 60 miles of regional office and travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics; troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean components in a substation.
• Lead tasks such as Transformer Testing, Cable Testing, and Circuit Breaker Testing.
• Test relays and participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Plan, participate in safety meetings and training; support project planning and cost management.
