Job summary
Broad-Ocean Technologies seeks a Senior EV Motor Control Engineer to design, develop, and validate advanced motor-control software for EV propulsion and electrified powertrains. The on-site role is in Novi, Michigan, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, efficient control solutions for motors and power electronics used in automotive applications.

Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in electric motor control, power electronics, or EV propulsion.
- Hands-on experience developing motor-control algorithms for automotive motors.
- Strong experience with C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, MCU-based embedded systems, and debugging tools.
- Experience taking motor-control algorithms from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement motor-control algorithms for EV traction motors.
- Design and optimize FOC, sensorless control, MTPA, and braking.
- Validate algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, SIL, PIL, and HIL.
- Integrate control software with power electronics and inverters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the product lifecycle.
