Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Field Service Specialist (EV) to perform complex electrical testing, commissioning, upgrades and repairs at customer facilities. You will troubleshoot, document reports, and lead safety training while maintaining equipment and test gear.

The role requires deep knowledge of substation testing (NETA/70E), ability to travel overnight, and willingness to relocate within 60 miles.

Qualifications

Requires 10+ years of experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly and commissioning.
Willing to relocate within 60 miles of the hiring regional office.
Ability to achieve NETA level III or IV within 6 months of employment.
Project management experience and ability to support planning, scheduling and cost management of field projects.

Responsibilities

Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
Read manuals, schematics, and write diagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
Lead tasks such as Transformer Testing (Power Factor, TTR, insulation resistance, SFRA, etc.) and Cable Testing.
Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
Plan and conduct safety meetings and training.
Support management in planning, scheduling, execution and cost management of field projects.
