Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior ETRM Presales Consultant to help utilities, energy retailers, and trading firms leverage our ETRM solutions. This role blends domain expertise with technical storytelling to address challenges across the energy value chain.

You will lead discovery sessions, design demonstrations, and support strategic sales opportunities while collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services to craft compelling, win-ready solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise software presales experience.
• 10+ years of experience within the power and/or natural gas industries.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience working with ETRM software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of energy trading, risk management, scheduling, settlements, regulatory reporting, or market operations.
• Proven ability to deliver executive-level presentations, customer workshops, and solution demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions to understand objectives and requirements.
• Translate needs into solution architectures and workflows demonstrat ing value.
• Design and deliver engaging software demonstrations tailored to priorities.
• Partner with Account Executives to support strategic sales opportunities.
• Support RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses with technical and functional expertise.
• Design and execute proof-of-concept activities and evaluations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in energy trading, risk management, settlements, regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product strategy.
