Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. seeks a Technical Sales Consultant for the Western US region. You will travel to customer sites, identify service opportunities, and deliver solutions for transformers and HV breakers, guiding scope definitions and project clarity.

You will support testing, controls, oil processing, and field activities while coordinating with engineering and safety teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience with transformers and HV breakers, preferably with 4+ years as field crew leader.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities and develop tailored solutions for grid assets.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to support customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to deliver seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Support proposals, scopes, and quotes that address customer needs and drive service sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial customers.
• Generate detailed reports and maintain CRM records; represent Hitachi Energy at industry events.
