GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor and improve semiconductor equipment in Fab 9. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment readiness and safety.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, with multiple pathways for technical experience, and willingness to work alternating day/night shifts in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical; multiple paths listed (2-year tech + 4 yrs, 2 yrs military + 4 yrs, 4+ yrs other).
• Must be able to read/read schematics; basic computer navigation and cleanroom protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed procedures to complete tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor equipment readiness and perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Work shifts in day/night alternating weeks.
