Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems invites applications for a full-time Estimator to support proposal development and cost inputs in accordance with FAR/CAS requirements. The role involves collaboration with proposal teams to handle multiple proposals and provide pricing artifacts for leadership and audits.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage complex schedules, and mentor junior staff while delivering accurate cost analyses across varying proposal sizes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Experience in Program Management, Finance or Accounting and/or Defense Industry.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core team meetings to follow proposal schedule and requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into instructions for internal GDLS functions and monitor conformity.
• Review estimated hours and costs by function relative to the scope of work.
• Prepare summaries, reports and submittals consolidating costs using ProPricer.
• Complete all required customer deliverables.
• Present proposals to leadership verbally and in writing.
• Support contract negotiations and pricing artifacts through award.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train and mentor new employees.
