Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, MI seeks an experienced Material Estimating Cost Specialist to build costed BOMs from our material cost database for proposals. You will coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with FARs/DARs.

Key responsibilities include creating quote matrices, conducting COPD activities, and using Oracle ERP, Cognos, and ProPricer for data analysis in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Material Management.
• 5 to 7 years in a related role.
• Ability to use Oracle system & associated ERP systems.
• Strong communication (oral & written) and organization skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Work in a team environment to meet team objectives and performance metrics.
• Perform under pressure to meet deadlines, provide timely updates, and communicate status with all parties involved.
• Proficient with Microsoft Software applications (Excel advanced), including ability to work with large datasets and manipulate them with excel. PowerBI and macro experience would be helpful

Responsibilities

• Draft and Maintain buyer directions
• Create quote matrix and track quote status
• Update SCM managers on quote status
• COPD Collection (FAR Cost Analysis Matrix and Assist Audit Coordination)
• Certification Sweeps
• Maintain several tables, reports and lists
• Present Semi-annual training with SCM
• Prepare advance funding requests
• Data retrieval from Oracle ERP, Cognos or ProPricer and analyzing data via Excel
• Update any process changes into the standard work instructions
