Layton Construction seeks a Senior Estimator to manage and prepare cost estimates for diverse projects, ensuring accuracy and value for owners. You will collaborate with architects, owners, and suppliers, delivering clear pricing and proactive solutions during preconstruction.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction, 5+ years of estimation experience, and proficiency with Destini Estimator, BlueBeam, Assemble, Revit, and Primavera.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Over five years’ experience in estimating commercial construction projects, demonstrating competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Knowledge of all construction systems and disciplines, including mechanical and electrical, to complete comprehensive cost estimates.
• Experience estimating at all stages of design: conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Fully understands Target Value Design and can utilize leading estimating software.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares estimates and supplementary information for potential projects.
• Reads and improves contract documents; offers value-engineering and life-cycle cost options.
• Performs quantity take-offs, organizes, prices, and analyzes information.
• Leads preconstruction efforts with architects and owners; guides the process.
• Solicits bids from subcontractors and suppliers; maintains contact lists.
• Prepares bid proposals and attends owner meetings during estimate development.
• Creates detailed schedules for proposed projects.
