Layton Construction is seeking a senior-level estimating leader to oversee budgeting and planning support, ensuring accurate cost data and reliable estimates for project pursuits. This role interfaces with marketing, executives and clients to drive profitable growth.

The position requires a BS in construction management or related fields and a minimum of ten years in construction, with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Construction Management, Marketing and/or Communication or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of construction-related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret business publications, journals, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, correspondence and manuals.
• Superior communication and presentation skills.
• Drug test and background check required.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Knowledge of all construction process aspects.
• Strong organizational skills and urgency.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership for estimating and planning support personnel.
• Monitor project budgeting and buy-out processes for reliable estimates.
• Communicate cost history for better pricing and modeling.
• Oversee planning support resources for efficiency.
• Collaborate with marketing on brand and information relevance.
• Assist in evaluating and planning new services and profit centers.
• Monitor productivity and cost control on projects.
• Attend project reviews and resolve budget issues.
• Plan and implement estimator training.
• Identify profitable projects through client relationships and networking.
• Lead sales activities: leads, procurement strategies, proposals, RFQs/SOQs/RFPs.
• Set goals, procedures, systems and tools for sales/marketing tasks.
• Represent the company in procurement for SBU projects.
• Supervise estimating staff and processes.
• Collaborate with executives, estimating staff and clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Represent Abbott Construction in industry events per VP approval.
