Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator in Irvine, CA to manage and assist in compiling project estimates, ensuring cost accuracy and alignment with Owner requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in estimating commercial construction, strong leadership in preconstruction, and proficiency in Destini Estimator, BlueBeam, Assemble, Revit, and Primavera. Salary range is $175,000 to $220,000 with a target bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in estimating commercial construction projects (hard-bid, design-build, conceptual).
• Knowledge of all construction systems incl. mechanical/electrical for cost estimates.
• Experience in estimating at all design stages (conceptual to construction documents).
• Proficiency with Layton's estimating software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and bid proposals for projects.
• Read and interpret contract documents; suggest value engineering options.
• Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and bid analyses.
• Coordinate with Architects/Owners and lead preconstruction activities.
• Solicit bids from subs and suppliers and manage pricing inquiries.
