Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager in St. Louis to lead bid strategy and cost planning across a mixed portfolio of commercial projects.

You will own the estimate from conceptual budgeting through GMP, collaborating with PMs, subs, and ownership to win the right work at the right numbers. The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction estimating/preconstruction, proficiency with takeoff software, and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction estimating/preconstruction.
• Ability to read drawings/specs and identify cost drivers.
• Experience with cost planning from conceptual budgets through GMP.
• Demonstrated ability to lead bid strategy and buyout.
• Excellent communication with PMs, subs, and owners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full conceptual, budget, and hard-bid estimates.
• Lead subcontractor buyout and scope reviews.
• Analyze drawings/specs for cost drivers and value-engineering opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with subs, vendors, and design teams.
• Partner with PMs on constructability and project handoff.
• Track market pricing trends across labor and materials.
