Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager to lead estimates for data center construction projects. You will drive from initial enquiry through tender, perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing, and develop estimates across conceptual to construction document stages.

You will manage subcontractor and supplier pricing, assess bids for competitiveness, and identify value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects.
Experience with hard-bid, design-build and conceptual estimating.
Knowledge of construction costs, procurement and bidding strategies.
Degree in Engineering, Construction or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage estimates for commercial construction projects.
Prepare accurate estimates from initial enquiry through tender.
Complete detailed quantity take-offs, pricing and bid analysis.
Develop estimates across conceptual, schematic, design development and construction document stages.
Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, quotations and pricing.
Assess bids and ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
Identify value engineering and life-cycle cost opportunities.
Provide leadership throughout the pre-construction process.
Prepare detailed bid proposals and project schedules.
Develop schematic plans or sketches where required to demonstrate project approach.
Lead and contribute to estimating-related projects and initiatives.
