Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation for mining and mineral processing projects, coordinating a team of discipline estimators and engineers worldwide. You will prepare comprehensive cost estimates with schedules, guiding major milestones and ensuring estimate defensibility.

Responsibilities include coordinating inputs across disciplines, reviewing designs for risks and opportunities, and supporting procurement and change management. Travel may be domestic and international.

Qualifications

• Extensive cost/estimating knowledge in engineering design and construction practice.
• Experience estimating mining/mineral processing projects (open pit/underground).
• Ability to lead large studies, coordinate disciplines, and present results to teams/clients.
• Multi-discipline estimating experience coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other scopes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise development of multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead mining studies and program-level estimating efforts (PEA, PFS, FS, execution, sustaining capital).
• Develop detailed estimates for mining, processing, civil, and site infrastructure.
• Coordinate information from estimating disciplines into one cost estimate.
• Prepare estimate execution plans and labor-force work plans.
• Interface with management and clients on estimating tasks.
